My Story
In every step of the therapeutic journey, my commitment remains steadfast—to facilitate growth, cultivate understanding, and promote positive change, all while maintaining humility and a genuine desire to serve the well-being of my clients.
Hello! My name is Robyn Lett, I am a registered psychologist in Alberta with an academic and professional background in neuroscience and clinical psychology. Calgary has been my home for the last 10 years, and throughout my life I have enjoyed living in different countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. These connections have shaped my life in so many valuable ways and have fostered a genuine appreciation of cultural diversity and a deep respect for the complexity and richness of the human experience.
My education stems from a passion for neuroscience and mental health. I hold a BSc (Honours), MSc and PhD in Neuroscience specializing in developmental neurobiology, and a MSc in Psychology.
For the past 4.5 years, I've worked in private practice offering therapy, assessments, and consultations. I work exclusively with adult individuals and couples, with an aim to provide affirming care across all neurotypes. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Psychology, and neuroscience.
I have experience addressing various concerns, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, impulse control problems, grief, and more. For couples, I provide support through strengthening communication, coping with infidelity, and navigating life transitions.
Beyond my practice, I am a visual artist and move through different modalities like painting, drawing, collage work, murals and graphic design. I like to knit cozy and ridiculous blankets, and enjoy the odd sewing project. I love gardening and growing my own fruit and vegetables.
I insist on movement being a constant in my life, including weight lifting, dance, yoga, and hiking. Since being a teen in the 90s, I have developed a healthy obsession with music - my latest playlist heavily features Latin American hip hop. I am also classically trained in piano and periodically enjoy reminding myself of the value of practice!
I travel a lot, I love to learn new languages, and I am always willing to try new foods and experiences. These activities nurture my own well-being and I believe also contribute to my empathetic approach to psychology and life.
